The Voyager KA600 Pro is Kaito's top of the line and most advanced emergency radio. It is the perfect radio for any emergency situation or disaster that you may encounter. It comes with a long list of  features including RDS and NOAA Alert.

What is RDS?: Radio Data System (RDS) is a communications protocol which allows the radio station to embed digital information into their broadcast signal  (FM in this case) and display this information on your radio. Typically the radio station will send station ID (number & call letters), program and time information.

What is NOAA Alert?: This connects the radio to the Emergency Alert System (EAS) through the NWR (National Weather Radio) network provided by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association). This feature will automatically activate the radio to inform you of hazardous weather conditions or warnings including natural, environmental and public safety alerts when the radio is set in the "Alert" mode.

The radio comes with a High quality AC type brushless generator. The solar panel powers the radio by itself and charges the built-in batteries as well. To maximize the sunlight’s rays, the solar panel is designed to tilt with the suns position to receive the energy during the day time. On the bottom side of the solar panel is a 5 LED reading lamp that you can use in poorly lit conditions. The radio is built with a multi-function LED flashlight. The super bright LED on the side can be used as a flashlight.

The 7 Band Weather radio gives you precise weather reception and the weather alert function automatically notifies you when the EAS system is activated in your reception area.
