The Greenlite 7W/ELX Globe light has just been introduced as a direct replacement for a 40 watt incandescent bulb in standard indoor lighting fixtures designed for incandescent bulbs. This is the first fluorescent bulb that will enable many users to make the energy saving swap. By significantly reducing the size of the bulb and by incorporating a glass bulb cover over the miniature fluorescent strip, Greenlite has produced a bulb that matches the function and appearance of a 40 Watt incandescent bulb using only 7 watts of power. The bulb provides a pleasing diffuse warm light (2,700K) to complement any room décor.

This bulb carries the Energy Star tag confirming that it is a partner in our national effort to reduce energy consumption. It also carries the UL label and FCC certification. It is not designed for use with dimmers or for use outside or in a damp environment.
